North Brisbane is not one type of suburb, so we do not treat every air con job the same way.
The region we cover runs from established Brisbane City suburbs such as Chermside and Aspley, through the Moreton Bay growth corridor around our Mango Hill base, out to the Redcliffe Peninsula and north to Burpengary, Narangba and Caboolture. Within that stretch you will find post-war and 1960s homes, coastal units, master-planned estates built from the late 1990s onward, and semi-rural blocks with sheds and studios.
Each of those housing types changes the install. Older homes often need a switchboard check before a new circuit can be added. Two-storey estate homes usually mean upstairs bedrooms and longer pipe runs. Bayside properties need outdoor units and fixings that can stand up to salt air. Acreage means long cable runs to outbuildings. We plan for all of that at the quote stage, so the price you agree to is the price you pay.
Whatever the suburb, the core of the job is the same: the right size unit for the room, a neat and safe installation, and a system that is pressure tested and commissioned properly. Moreton Bay growth suburbs
In the newer estates around our base, including North Lakes and Mango Hill, many homes were handed over with no air con at all. These are usually clean installs with modern switchboards, and the main decisions are sizing, staging and splits versus ducted.
Bayside and coastal homes
On the Redcliffe Peninsula, salt air shortens the life of unprotected outdoor units. We recommend corrosion-protected models, stainless or galvanised fixings and sheltered placement, plus regular servicing.
Established northside and semi-rural properties
Older homes in suburbs such as Chermside and Aspley may need a switchboard upgrade before a new circuit can go in. On larger blocks in Narangba and Burpengary, sheds and granny flats often need their own circuit or sub-board.

In most strata buildings, yes, because the outdoor unit and pipework affect common property or the building's exterior. We can provide install details for your application and design the job around the by-laws.
Is ducted or split better for a Brisbane northside home?
Splits suit homes where a few rooms are used most and cost less upfront. Ducted suits larger homes where most rooms are used daily and you want hidden, zoned cooling. We are happy to price both in one visit.
